Clinical Nurse Specialist - Thoracic (Lung) London Permanent Full Time Salary upwards of £48,000 per annum plus Benefits We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and organised Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our clients Cardiac Service. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent interpersonal skills, proactive, be caring, strong communication and clinical skills, excellent attention to detail and significant experience in Thoracic surgery and knowledge of lung cancer. You must also be able to work proactively and use your own initiative. The candidate should have excellent IT skills and be able to utilise trust databases and trouble shoot where required. A flexible approach to work will be essential in these constantly developing and adapting services. This role will require you to be adaptive and be able to work both on the clinical floor, as well as be office based at times and will involve cross-site working.

• Advocates for integrated TB and HIV screening, diagnosis, treatment, and continuity of care through universal test and treat, home based and self-testing for HIV, community based initiation and adherence of antiretroviral therapy and targeted screening for TB and STI’s amongst high-risk populations.• Develops and coordinates the implementation of differentiated care models to strengthen the health system and render integrated TB/HIV and STI care to achieve the global targets including 90-90-90 for TB and HIV, as well as 70-70-70 for STI’s.• Facilitates and coordinates a targeted approach to promotion and distribution of condoms to put prevention at the Centre of all interventions. Ensures the health systems in the District address individual, family and community capacity to increase consumer awareness and behavior change to promote health, prevent diseases, and enhance the appropriate use of health services, including school health, mental health, health promotion, youth health, HIV and AIDS, TB and non-communicable diseases.• Continuous report writing, record keeping of all working procedures, identification of gaps, development and implementation of new procedures and standards• Follow-up on the implementation of changes and comment on improvements, ensure continuous improvement• Guiding and directing TB/HIV Care staff and other stakeholders in the development, implementation and measuring of quality improvement initiatives• Act as a trainer and mentor to the Clinical Nurse MentorsSupport the development of District Health Plan and Operational Plans (District and Sub-District)
