A home is constructed using bricks and mortar; a community is built upon care, compassion, respect and atmosphere. These are the core values from which Bishopscourt was cultivated and they continue to drive our community.
In 1998 sisters-in-law Catherine O’Connor and Patsy O’Sullivan founded Bishopscourt. Their vision was to create a purpose-built residential care home that combined innovative thinking alongside the traditional rural values of a tight knit community. This has allowed us to introduce new innovative approaches to improve our resident’s lives through our memory care programme, snoezelen room, sonas, physiotherapy, exercise classes amongst many other engaging activities.
We are proud of our tradition in residential care. Through our strong leadership and conscientious team we have organically grow our capacity from 20 to 60 beds, without compromising Bishopscourt’s core values.
Our resident-first philosophy of care ensures that each member of our community gets the attention they need and deserve. We know that the happiness of our residents is essential in creating a safe, caring and fun community atmosphere.
