Paramedic

Provides direct care by utilizing the principle of Family Centered Care. Provides care under the direction of the Emergency Room Medical Director in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This includes selected invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, documentation, and patient/family teaching.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year pediatric patient care experience or one (1) year field experience as Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.

High School Diploma or equivalent with good verbal and written communication skills.

Certified by the State of Louisiana as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.

Demonstrates ability to work under stress using sound judgment.

Advance Cardiac Life Support. Basic Life Support/CPR, Cert Non-Violent Crises Interv, Emergency Medical Tech - Basic, Peds Advance Life Support
