Provide urology consultation to physicians or other health care professionals.1) Refer patients to specialists when condition exceeds experience, expertise, or scope of practice.2) Direct the work of nurses, residents, or other staff to provide patient care. 3) Treat urologic disorders using alternatives to traditional surgery such as extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, laparoscopy, and laser techniques.4) Treat lower urinary tract dysfunctions using equipment such as diathermy machines, catheters, cystoscopes, and radium emanation tubes.5) Prescribe or administer antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infection or injury.

Consultant NephrologistRoles and responsibilities are: - Evaluate, diagnose, manage and treat a spectrum of kidney-related disorders.- Offer hemodialysis, dialysis, renal biopsies, post-surgical care of patients who have recently had a kidney transplant, and they also work alongside primary care physicians to determine the best method of care for kidney patients with comorbidities. - Treat protein or blood in the urine, indicators that the kidneys are not able to flush wastes properly.- Treating their patients for long periods of time, so they must be interested in developing relationships with them and educating them about the best ways to manage renal dysfunction and electrolyte disorders and to prevent further kidney damage Desired Candidate Profile Education: DM Qualified OR DNB Qualified in Nephrology from a reputed hospital

Perform independently assist in procedures as per the clinical privileges authorized.Treat & manage the in patients.Maintain a patient log book records.Monitor daily outdating. To review all use as needed and discuss problems with consultant.To assist with review of patient's medical records as part of quality assurance studies. Gather data for quality assurance studies.To complete patient history form, visit patient and review medical record. Obtain relevant clinical information for inclusion in report.Assists the Consultant for:Special material management requirementEnsure quality of performance of the departmentIn all emergency casesin scheduling of cases and coordinating the department activitiesTo co-ordinate the Inter and Intra-departmental activitiesin research, camps, presentations, referral reply to doctors etcTo be an in-house consultant for all emergency situations encountered in the hospital.

Assist in the management of patients and provide back-up support to the consultant.Initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical, and psycho-social status.Provide patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, disease processes, and discharge planning.Work with other members of the health care team to provide direct medical care to patients.Aware regarding patient Investigation profile/reports/plan, Treatment details/drug procurement, Drug allergies/patient history.To ensure timely attention and intervention for any query or requirement from the IP patient.Complete all OP & IP records on time with accuracy.Write orders and progress notes in patient charts.
