CHS is seeking highly trained physician-leaders to provide primary care In the NYC jail system, as well as participate in Education, Quality Improvement and Population Health work.Correctional Health Clinician Educators primary role is to provide primary care to patients in jail based clinics, including performing intake evaluation and treatment, follow up of the range of chronic diseases present in the criminal justice population and providing emergency care with the support of Emergency Medicine Physicians.In addition to Clinical duties, Correctional Health Clinician Educators may participate in quality improvement projects, data analysis, population health, development of policy, participation in special projects and/or education of clinical staff and trainees. Clinical education efforts may include direct supervision of trainees in clinical care (e.g. medical students, residents), peer review for patterns of care delivery (e.g. antibiotic usage, referral practices) and clinical education sessions with peers or trainees (e.g. small group presentation, journal club).Physicians work as part of a care delivery team with strong administrative support staff, Integrated nursing and mental health.Compensation and benefits are competitive and malpractice is covered.

Under general supervision, performs qualitative and quantitative Chemistry and Hematology analysis on blood and body fluids in the Rapid Response laboratory including accessioning of specimens. Perform Chemistry and Hematology analyses by automated and manual techniques, in addition to identifying and classifying blood morphology, urine microscopic, performing respective staining in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. Receives, labels and processes specimens, entering or verifying registration of requisite date in computerized system. Sets up, adjusts and operates all section equipment. The Psychologist level II operates through the Pediatric Resource Center, specifically in the Child Protection and Development Center, and is responsible for overseeing and providing psychology services to all children who are known or suspected to be the victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and/or neglect. The Psychologist works in close collaboration with child abuse pediatricians, social workers, and child life specialists, when children are evaluated for abuse and neglect.Duties include but are not limited to:• Prepare, guide and support children who are to undergo medical evaluations• Conduct developmentally-based interviews of children suspected of being physically, sexually or• psychologically abused or neglected• Conduct best practice forensic interviews on children who have disclosed sexual, physical or psychological• abuse and/or neglect or who present with a high suspicion of being abused.• Conduct trauma-focused psychotherapy to child and family victims of crime.• Evaluate at-risk children and families who may be a harm to self or others, or are facing loss oftheir basic needs.• Prepares statistics for crime victims seen on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Epic Certified Analyst must have previous Epic implementation experience. Epic Certification must be current or within prior release version. Individuals must have a strong background analyzing requirements gathered from clinical end users and other clinical stakeholders, creating BRDs, paper mock ups, flowcharts, project schedules and other tasks such as leading validation sessions and build. The right candidate will need the personality to assume ownership of a project, create guidance where there isn’t any and influence the direction if it is not correct.
