Summary: This Health Center Manager RN will work with our Primary Care Employer Health Clinic located in Wilmington. The hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 am- 4 pm. This role oversees three (3) other staff members working in the health clinic.Essential FunctionsDual role combines clinical, professional expertise and supervisory responsibilitiesFulfills the job expectations of a Clinician (Medical/Technical resource) dedicating an agreed upon percentage of time to clinical dutiesManages a limited number of employees – responsible for following appropriate processes for talent acquisition, staff development and performance management and provides input to the Health Center Manager/Director of Site Operations for the final staffing decisions. Responsible for interviewing, training and onboarding new colleaguesManages daily operations, workflow, work schedules, timecard monitoring etc. to ensure efficient and effective health center performanceIdentifies process improvement opportunities and presents resolutions and recommendations to the Director of Client OperationsMakes recommendations regarding staffing model based on objective scheduling & volume analysis – presents to Director of Client Operations for approvalUnderstands and complies with all regulatory, procedural, policy and licensing requirements

●Providing triage, diagnosis and care for trauma patients, and preventing secondary complications.●Handling serious injuries and illnesses, such as car accidents, suicide attempts, and heart attacks.●Preparing patients for emergency operations and assisting surgeons in the operation.●Distributing emergency medications.●Working with urgent care patients and traumatized family members.●Managing a chaotic and stressful work schedule.

●Provides expert nursing care in an expanded role to patients/families with pain.●Ensures the delivery of high quality pain management to patients and families.●Evaluates current pain management nursing practices in relation to expected standards across the continuum of care.●Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to meet the developmental/age-specific needs of patients. Incorporates expertise in clinical practice.●Develops an overall pain program to meet the needs of patients/families and staff in collaboration with other Pain Management Nurse Specialist(s).●Acts as a clinical resource/expert to staff.●Advances the nursing profession through the development of expertise, participation in research and dissemination of knowledge and information.●Initiates, replicates and applies findings from research.

●Attending births and providing care for infants directly after birth.●Evaluating and overseeing the care of infants in the NICU.●Monitoring the health of infants suffering from medical issues relating to birth, such as prematurity or congenital defects.●Performing tests and obtaining and evaluating the results.●Providing treatment and administering medication as proscribed by the NICU physician.●Documenting patient history.●Running and maintaining the equipment in the NICU.●Educating new parents on the care of their new infant; for example, breastfeeding.●Communicating with parents or guardians about the care and medical procedures related to their infant.

●Working closely with patients and learning their health history●Educating patients on their condition and the specifics of their treatment●Helping them manage pain and the process to recover from a musculoskeletal disease or disorder●Assisting doctors in surgery when a bone break or other condition requires the patient to undergo surgery, and working with patients during recovery from surgery●Working with both patients and their families to help them understand specifics of their condition, symptoms that indicate an issue that needs to be dealt with and the details of treatment and recovery

●Stay by a soon-to-be-mother’s side through the labor and childbirth process●Look for complications or situations where a medical doctor is required●Educate women on birth options and their unique health issues●Prepare a mother for what’s to come during labor, childbirth and postpartum●Teach a mother how to breastfeed and care for their infant

●Provide efficient and effective perioperative nursing care to patient.●Maintain surgical services in accordance with competency standards.●Complete all physician orders, administer medications, and conduct treatments and tests for patients in a timely manner.●Assist with patient care in recovery room, procedure room and operating room.●Develop and implement nursing care plan for assigned patient. ●Execute proper use, care and handling of surgical equipment to ensure safety of operating staff and patient.●Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of sterile techniques.●Communicate continuously with operating team and other medical staff to meet needs for patient care.●Assist in ordering, storing and maintaining surgical equipment and supplies.●Prepare operating room with surgical equipment, sterile, linens and supplies that will be needed during surgery.●Maintain order and cleanliness in operating room.●Prepare patients including cleaning and disinfecting body areas for surgery.●Prepare timely and accurate records of patient history and recovery charts.

●Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans ●Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse ●Records patients’ medical information and vital signs ●Assesses the patients’ ability to do routine daily tasks ●Assists patients with such basic needs as dressing, eating, and bathing, and encourages patients to do things for themselves to retain feelings of independence and self-esteem ●Recognizes and manages geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including: cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory and pain problems ●Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient ●Facilitates older adults’ active participation in all aspects of their own health care ●Involves, educates, and when appropriate, supervises family/significant others in implementing best practices for older adults ●Promotes the desirability of quality end-of-life care for older adults ●Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting Depending on setting, may also: ●Direct care provided by licensed practical nurses and nursing aides General Healthcare ●Resources, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer ●Float among various clinical services, where qualified and competent Other Responsibilities ●Completes required orientation as directed by facility ●Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
