We do not provide surgical or obstetrical services. This is a great opportunity for the Registered Nurse who likes rural nursing and serving in a management role in a rural healthcare facility. The average long-term care census is 21 patients per day, the average skilled swing bed census is 1.5, the average daily inpatient census is 0.2 patients per day, the average number of ER patients is 40 per month. Applicant should have the following attributes:• Registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years of clinical management experience.• Strong leadership qualities to direct a staff of 7 RNs, 1-2 LPNs, 14 CNAs; staffing is a mix of facility employees and locum/contract employees.• Ability to manage and delegate the many quality/performance improvement initiatives required by federal regulation in cooperation/coordination with the QI Coordinator.• Oversee and direct antibiotic stewardship requirements.• Stay up to date with the Critical Access Hospital State Operations Manual and the survey process. Update policies and procedures as needed.• Must be willing to work occasional shifts on the floor.
