Responsible for the evaluation of residents with a need for leisure services, and for the implementation of SNF/TCU activity services. Associate Director (Tour Supervisor) is the administrative manager of the On/Off-Site Health Services Department during all tours (24/7/365). The Associate Director is accountable for the delivery of clinical services at the assigned NYC Department of Corrections (DOC) Jail-Clinics.In addition, the Associate Director will serve as the Correctional Health Service (CHS) liaison to the jail based NYC DOC leadership. The Associate Director is also responsible for developing and maintaining positive, professional, collaborative relationships with the other external agencies to ensure a cohesive and seamless medical service delivery to all patients.Responsibilities• Manages the healthcare delivery system and coordinates with the other municipal agencies operation within the facility.• Submits timely and accurate reports to supervisor and/or central office.• Develops and/or supervises the facility operational plan. Directs the activities of the assigned staff.• Manages labor ensuring the site is staffed appropriately and supervises scheduling of all staff.• Provide cross-coverage to other facilities as deem necessary.• Coordinates and facilitates monthly meetings. Ensures compliance with all CHS Correctional Health’s policies and procedures.• Adheres to and enforces all safety and security policies and procedures and participates in and ensures compliance with applicable safety/emergency drills. Follows and enforces all security regulations, including but not limited to keys, sharps, and controlled medications.• Ensures annual performance evaluations are conducted and completed with all personnel, including peer reviews with Independent Contractors.• Responsible for ensuring that all employee related accidents, injuries and incidents of workplace violence at the assigned Jail-clinic are reported and logged within a timely manner.

The assistant director should have extensive knowledge of operational workflows for the assigned area, and use that expertise to inform their work.
