Responsibilities for delegated patient care activities under the direction of licensed professionals, for an identified patient population." Typical duties of a mental health technician include coordinating mental health care services, assisting in patient assessment, monitoring and documenting care, escorting patients and identifying the personal needs of patients." Assisting medical staff team with needs of patients." Demonstrates clinical competency in providing age specific care to patients in designated areas of practice." Utilize de-escalation techniques with patients needing intervention." Monitor and document environment of care to prevent behavior escalation." Assist in patient assessment; vitals, EKG, phlebotomy." Enter patient information in electronic health record, EHR." Other duties may be assigned.
