We are looking for a Band 7 Clinical Specialist in Diabetes and Woundcare. You will be part of a highly motivated and compassionate countywide team, working independently in both community and acute settings, responsible for the podiatry treatment to the population of Somerset. The post is based in Yeovil.You will have a working, in-depth knowledge of wound care and diabetic foot assessment, including basic biomechanical assessment.You will take a leading role in developing innovative and dynamic podiatric care across our countywide service.You will work closely with the other Clinical Specialist Podiatrists to support the development of the team and the service as a whole and to ensure a seamless multi-disciplinary approach to the management of the foot. We have close links with our colleagues in the acute trusts and the successful candidate will work to improve and maintain these links, encouraging members of the Podiatry team to engage with patient care at all levels.You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the changes that the NHS is undergoing and have a clear understanding of the role of the Podiatry Service within this. You will need a degree in Podiatry, evidence of post-graduate level learning, or similar CPD and will be registered with the Health Professions Council.
