Clinical Research Manager

Clinical Research Managers hold one of the most critical jobs in the healthcare industry. They oversee all aspects of clinical trials that evaluate new medications and medical devices. When a company develops a new healthcare product, they must meet government regulations before being allowed to sell their product on the market. Clinical Research Managers have direct responsibility for implementing a diverse portfolio of research activities for one or more studies. These activities may include multicenter clinical trials, local investigator-initiated clinical trials, and programmatic clinical research activities such as a clinical database and biorepository. General Responsibilities: 1. Planning and overseeing the trial 2. Determining whether a product accomplishes the goal for which it was produced 3. Ensuring the product meets all government regulations and standards 4. Managing a team of clinical research associates and specialists 5. Training clinical research team members and evaluating their performance 6. Preparing protocols and case report forms and finalizing monitoring and data management options 7. Developing recruitment strategies to increase patient randomization into the trial 8. Providing clinical trial materials 9. Coordinating the trial to ensure its smooth management
