The caregiver is responsible for ensuring continuity of care to the senior or the elderly. Caregivers are usually tasked with assisting the elderly with day-to-day tasks and self-care. They often provide a great deal of social assistance and support. In addition to these responsibilities, caregivers also play a crucial role in maintaining the overall well-being of the elderly individuals they care for. General Responsibilities: 1. Help with personal hygiene and care such as toilet habits, bathing, dressing, and grooming 2. Perform housekeeping activities and running errands 3. Escort on appointments 4. Assist with walking and light exercise 5. Engage the elder in mental and physical exercises, as prescribed by the doctors 6. Assist with meals and nutrition 7. Prescription medication management 8. Maintain all care records 9. Report and monitor changes in health status 10. Communicate any problems, concerns, or issues to family members as needed.
