Center Research Administrator

The Center Research Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that research goals are aligned, costs are contained, and research productivity is maximized. By working effectively with project investigators and staff, the Administrator strengthens the team and contributes to the overall research mission. This professional oversees and manages the day-to-day administration of the department, collaborates with other department leaders to implement strategic and operational plans, and manages contracts and grants. Additionally, the Administrator prepares and analyzes financial reports, develops programs and standards of performance, and ensures regulatory compliance and human subjects protections. The Administrator also coordinates with collaborating academic medical centers, universities, other research organizations, and research sponsors, both government and private. General Responsibilities: 1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day administration of the department 2. Work in close collaboration with other department leaders to implement strategic and operational plans 3. Manage contracts and grants 4. Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing accurate and up-to-date financial information 5. Develop programs and standards of performance to continually measure and evaluate safety, service, and quality improvement 6. Monitor standards through the implementation of training and allocation of resources, providing coordination and oversight of educational functions 7. Manage human resources 8. Ensure regulatory compliance, ethics, and human subjects protections requirements 9. Coordinate with collaborating academic medical centers, universities, other research organizations, and research sponsors, both government and private
