Pediatric Gastroenterology
Description:
Pediatric gastroenterologists specialize in diagnosing and treating digestive system and nutritional problems in children. They have extensive expertise in managing nutritional problems in children, including placement and management of feeding tubes and intravenous nutrition. This specialist treats conditions such as abdominal pain, ulcers, diarrhea, cancer, and jaundice and performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using lighted scopes to see internal organs.
