General Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate a child's medical history and educate the family about lung and respiratory health and disease prevention
2. Perform physical exams
3. Order and interpret laboratory and imaging tests and prescribe medications
4. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases and conditions that affect the lungs and respiratory tract
5. Monitor conditions that increase the risk of permanent lung damage
6. Provide direct care for lung and respiratory conditions in the office and in the hospital
