Develop and implement total nursing care for patients by assessment, nursing diagnosis, patient care plans, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Develop systems to provide care to a population including infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Registered Staff Nurses assist in ensuring the general health and well-being of our residents by providing direct nursing (RN) care. Direct nursing care of residents encompasses planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the care of residents to ensure that the highest degree of quality care and regulatory compliance is maintained at all times.

QualificationsPossession of an RN State license/registration to practice as Registered Licensed Nurse (RN).Minimum of two (2) years (RN) nursing experience and at least one year of experience in a leadership role preferred.Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel required.Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.Caring, respectful attitude towards residents required.

The Registered Nurse, utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients.

Responsible for Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan insuring documents are prepared and published according to Federal guidelines. Responsible through collaboration, supervision and management for the conduction of all activities, programs, and services related the both the needs assessment and improvement plan.Develop key initiatives to successfully achieve the goals of the CHIP:Represent Mercy to collaborative efforts with community agenciesCoordinate local Community Benefit data collection and reportingEngage aligned regional hospitals in developing and implementing their CHNA and CHIPAdministers local grants for community health servicesCoordinates other local community ministry activitiesManage service lines that support community health outreach and access.

Critical Care Resource Nurses utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients

Performs annual Medicare wellness examinations in a clinic setting. Will rotate among several clinics performing these exams. Must be flexible and be willing to help in other areas of the clinic if the need arises.
