Health Informatics Training Manager

The Health Informatics Training Manager assumes primary responsibility for directly managing training resources, clinical informatics support, and customer service. They are responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, managing, and evaluating training for the Health Informatics training staff. This individual functions as both a subject matter expert and a team manager to ensure training quality and consistency. Additionally, they assist in the implementation of clinical information systems and provide guidance and support for specific IT and information projects, such as the electronic patient record. General Responsibilities: 1. Coaches training team members and provides constructive feedback, advice, and best practices. 2. Reviews work of team members for compliance and consistency with established standards. 3. Creates, cultivates, and manages a high performing and cohesive team for successful enterprise-wide roll-out of end user training. 4. Effectively and consistently communicates with all members of the interdisciplinary and leadership teams. Routinely provides others with the information they need to do their jobs. 5. Ensures that all training activities are aligned with organizational performance improvement goals. 6. Provides guidance and support to facilitate the implementation of clinical information systems. 7. Manages a team of training and support resources. 8. Integrates continual performance improvement into the structure and processes of the entire training program. 9. Assists in the development of specific IT and/or information projects, such as the electronic patient record, which shares patient information across hospitals and GPs.
