Description:

Head and neck surgeons, also known as ear, nose and throat doctors or otolaryngologists, specialize in a wide range of surgical procedures for the treatment of various conditions in the head and neck region. They perform surgeries on the ear, nose, sinuses, pharynx, larynx, oral cavity, neck, thyroid, salivary glands, bronchial tubes, and esophagus. Additionally, they are skilled in cosmetic surgery of the head and neck. Otolaryngologists rely on physical examinations to diagnose and provide hands-on patient care. General Responsibilities: 1. Treating conditions of the ears, upper pharynx and oral cavity, larynx, nose, face, and neck. 2. Performing procedures such as nosebleeds treatment, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, infected mastoids treatment, and sinusitis treatment. 3. Assisting patients with a limited or altered sense of smell. 4. Treating patients with tumors in the head or neck, as well as those with defects in the ear, nose, or throat. 5. Collaborating with other medical practitioners to ensure comprehensive patient care. 6. Investigating if recurring problems are caused by allergies, as normal medicines may only provide temporary relief.
