General Responsibilities:

6. Refer patients to cardiothoracic surgeons when necessary.
7. Advise cardiothoracic surgeons on the risk status of patients and recommend interventions to minimize risk, particularly in tuberculosis cases.
8. Provide support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
9. Conduct research into the testing and development of new medications and methods of treatment.
