A Vascular Surgeon specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions in the arteries and veins, also known as blood vessels. They collaborate with other physicians to manage disorders related to the vascular system and perform surgical procedures to treat vascular trauma. These specialists address a wide range of health issues, from spider and varicose veins to life-threatening aneurysms, and provide ongoing care for patients with chronic conditions. General Responsibilities: 1. Treating conditions related to the veins, arteries, and other blood vessels. 2. Performing surgeries to repair veins and arteries and to treat other vascular trauma. 3. Evaluating patients' medical history, physical condition, medication allergies, and examination results. 4. Verifying the necessity of vascular operations and identifying the best procedure. 5. Performing a wide range of reconstructive and restorative operations, including balloon angioplasty. 6. Dissolving dangerous blood clots either through injections or a catheter. 7. Conducting research to prepare and test surgical techniques aimed at improving operating methods and outcomes. 8. Examining equipment, instruments, and the operating room to ensure sterility.
