Description:
A Medical Physics Specialist/Medical Physicist is a medical doctor who specializes in at least one of the following areas: Diagnostic Medical Physics, Nuclear Medical Physics, or Therapeutic Medical Physics. They may also hold separate primary certification in two or all three of these areas. These specialists play a crucial role in the field of medicine by ensuring the safe and effective use of various technologies and radiation in diagnosing and treating diseases. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the appropriate use of equipment and apply standards for the safe use of radiation.
