General Responsibilities: 1. Record and maintain patients' medical history 2. Assess, diagnose, and treat disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles 3. Discuss treatment options with patients 4. Determine the need for surgical intervention 5. Evaluate and advise patients on the risks associated with surgical procedures 6. Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures 7. Prescribe medications to enhance recovery and manage pain after surgical procedures 8. Plan and implement disease prevention and health promotion programs 9. Provide follow-up consultations to monitor patients' progress 10. Refer patients to physical and rehabilitation therapists when necessary
