Emergency Medical Responders are highly trained medical professionals who specialize in providing immediate medical care to victims of accidents, violence, and sudden illnesses. They are skilled in making quick diagnoses and administering necessary treatments, such as CPR for cardiac arrests or clot-busting medications for strokes. Additionally, Emergency Medical Responders offer specialized care and treatment to individuals involved in accidents, emergencies, or other crises. General Responsibilities: 1. Driving and staffing ambulances and other emergency vehicles 2. Responding to emergency 999 calls 3. Assessing patients, providing emergency treatment, and making diagnoses 4. Monitoring and administering medication, pain relief, and intravenous infusions 5. Dressing wounds and injuries 6. Using specialist equipment including ventilators and defibrillators 7. Transporting patients to the hospital and continuing to provide treatment while in transit 8. Providing hospital staff with patient information, including condition and treatment 9. Assisting in patient care in hospitals and other medical facilities 10. Effectively communicating with patients and their relatives or friends
