Description:

Emergency First Responders (EFR) are highly trained healthcare professionals who specialize in providing immediate and stabilizing medical care to patients in need of urgent attention. These individuals have completed a comprehensive course and received certification in providing pre-hospital care for medical emergencies. As part of the emergency medical services, EFRs play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of patients in critical situations. General Responsibilities: 1. Perform first aid and emergency care, as well as on-site injury evaluations during competitions and events. 2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and activate Emergency Action Plans. 3. Promptly call 911 or direct someone else to do so if the injury exceeds your scope of practice. 4. Accurately complete Accident, Incident, and Event Reports. 5. Regularly inspect the facility for safety hazards, promptly reporting any identified hazards to the appropriate authority, and taking immediate action if necessary. 6. Provide advanced first aid level care, including CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage. 7. Deliver initial emergency care promptly upon arriving at the scene. 8. Take responsibility for safely transporting the victim to a nearby healthcare facility, such as a hospital.
