CT Technologist

A CT technologist is a healthcare professional who uses computed tomography equipment to capture detailed images of a patient's body from different angles. These images are crucial in locating internal injuries and diagnosing various diseases. In addition to operating the CT scanner, CT technologists also play a vital role in preparing patients for exams by answering their questions and ensuring minimal radiation exposure. This profession requires individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for utilizing technology to provide exceptional patient care. CT scan technologists must accurately interpret physicians' scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, operate the CT scan equipment, and position patients to capture the appropriate images. General Responsibilities: 1. Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. 2. Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies. 3. Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes. 4. Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients. 5. Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions. 6. Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues. 7. Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality. 8. Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
