Radiography Assistant

A radiography assistant is a professional who works closely with trained radiographers to support them in their regular duties. They collaborate with diagnostic radiographers, who use imaging techniques to assess the causes of diseases in patients, as well as therapeutic radiographers, who utilize x-ray doses and other ionizing radiation to treat medical conditions. As a radiography assistant, you will have various responsibilities that contribute to the smooth functioning of the department and the well-being of patients. General Responsibilities: 1. Providing reassurance and information to patients about their condition and the procedures they will undergo. 2. Transporting patients to and from other departments and wards, ensuring their safety and comfort. 3. Assisting in the maintenance of devices and accessory equipment used for image processing. 4. Reporting any equipment faults promptly to ensure timely repairs and minimize disruptions. 5. Offering mental and physical support to patients during their treatment, ensuring their comfort and well-being. 6. Supporting radiographers in various procedures, including clerical duties for biopsies such as booking appointments.
